Finnegan the Dog needs a home
Finn is amazing! Came from a rez in SD. Is around 2 yrs old. Neutered, UTD on vaccines, rabies, dewormed and microchipped. He is crate trained but is not a fan. House trained and good on a leash. He is well behaved and a total sweetheart! LOVES people and attention. Good with many of the other dogs, especially puppies. He is more of a dominant male and would do best in a home with a female dog, or young pup. Needs further training, but is a wonderful boy! So good in fact that he is going to be evaluated to be a veterans service dog! If he does not pass their testing then he will be available to adopt. And will make someone an amazing companion. Very nice lower/medium energy, does have playful streaks as well. Likes toys and car rides. Should get daily walks or he'll get bored.
Finn has not been around kids yet, but would probably do best with kids over 10. NOT good with cats. He also needs a secure fenced yard or to be hand walked for potty breaks. He is used to living on the streets so is a bit of a flight risk, so NO off leash for this guy. At least not until he has had a lot more training with perfect recall. (he got away from a previous foster...) NO tie outs allowed and should wear a slip collar until he forms a strong bond with his person. (he will be adopted with a slip collar)
